Ferndale is located south of Eureka, and has a population just over 1,000. Ferndale, similar to Loleta, is a community brimming with history. Every step you take or direction you go in, you are bound to be in the middle of a historical site, as much of Ferndale has been preserved from its original days.
Take a stroll through downtown, and you will see all the local boutiques and restaurants. If food isn’t what you’re searching for, take a “dark tourist” trip to the Ferndale Cemetery, one of the oldest and largest in the area, nestled on a mountainside with a view of the forest and community below.
